The restaurant's name is a tribute to the five Olympic rings.
In 1960, the owner Giacomo Fornoni won the first gold medal of the Games of the XVII Olympiad in Rome, 100km cycling team, with Cogliati, Bailetti and Trapè.
Retired from professional in november 1968, Giacomo, along with his wife Teresilde Mughetti, detects the Mussin small inn situated in an unspoilt corner of the old Brianza.
So begins the big bet of 5 Cerchi Restaurant.
The beginning of the activity is characterized by important collaborations: the engineer Rudy Bucher, owner of the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, offers his second chef for the first year of goodwill; the wine selection is curated by Ms. Francesca Rocca first Italian woman to be awarded the Tate Vin D'Oro.
The aim of the two mentors was to prepare Teresilde professionally, respecting the character of imaginative hostess and not forcing it to adhere to the role of "classic restaurateur."
It has been an instant success and within three years the Master Fornoni demolishes and rebuilds the structure, transforming the old inn in the cozy restaurant and released today in Teresilde it will represent the soul.
In the history of this place we can not omit the role that all customers have been: first, to agree to trust the work of Giacomo and Teresilde but mostly all he wanted, in the next 40 years, sharing with them the lives, stories, significant moments and affections ... for generations.
